I am always amazed at the kindness and generosity of the Pints Templars and the Beer community in general. Between helping each other, beer shares, chapter gatherings and just overall kindness to each other is something that I have not found very often in the world.
Yesterday I received a small package in the mailbox. I didn't recognize the name on the return address: Gordon Crippen. Kansas. I don't Gordon, I don't know anyone from Kansas. I admit I was a bit apprehensive while opening the package. I am glad I opened it.
Here is what was inside:
A Hot Wheels Carbonator! I had been wanting one for awhile, but never could find one in a store. Fellow Templar Cory Strouse tried to send me one (if you don't know Cory, look him up on the Pints Templars Facebook group, he is a great guy), but FedEx managed to lose it. Some how Gordon heard I was looking for one, and just sent one to me. To someone he didn't know.
This is the kind of thing that makes our community so amazing. Now I need to pay it forward and do the same. Thanks again, Gordon, now it is my turn.
